I’m Tim Harrington, and I’ve dedicated my life to serving our community. Born and raised in neighboring Cabarrus County, I’ve called Rowan County home for over 40 years, raising my children and now enjoying my grandchildren here. For 32 years, I’ve been a sworn law enforcement officer, and I’m ready to bring my experience and leadership to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

Implement rigorous standards of conduct and accountability for all Sheriff’s Office personnel.
Prioritize Community Engagement:
Foster open communication and collaboration with residents to address their concerns.
Ensure Fiscal Responsibility:
Manage the Sheriff’s Office budget effectively and transparently.

Invest in comprehensive training programs to equip deputies with the skills and knowledge they need to serve our
